ESPN's Jose Romero said Lasike was like a battering ram on the first day with pads on.
"Lasike was among those who generated some buzz during contact drills because he made some serious contact.
"With coach Bruce Arians watching intently, Lasike joined the backs and tight ends going one-on-one in pass blocking drills against linebackers and safeties."
It's fair to say Arians was impressed, but Lasike will need to do more to convince the team to keep him on for the NFL season.
That could be where his potential with the ball comes in.
"Lasike also showed some athleticism, catching a pass while falling down and getting up to go untouched into the end zone. It fired up teammate Larry Fitzgerald, who ran out to congratulate the rookie."
After the training Lasike was surrounded by impressed reporters and was asked about that touchdown catch, and the reaction it got from Fitzgerald.
Lasike said he was star struck when Fitzgerald congratulated him and offered a high five.
