Director: Ken Kwapis
Screenwriter: Delia Ephron, Elizabeth Chandler

Plot Summary: Based on Ann Brashares' best-selling novel about a special 16th summer in the lives of four lifelong friends. The film stars Alexis Bledel, Amber Tamblyn, America Ferrara and Blake Lively as four 16-year-old best friends who are separated for the first time. On a last shopping trip together, the girls find a pair of thrift-shop jeans that fits each of them perfectly and they decide to use these "magic" pants as a way of keeping in touch over the months ahead, each girl wearing the jeans for a week to see what luck they bring her before sending them on to the next. Though miles apart, the four friends still experience life, love and loss together in a summer they'll never forget.

here's another one I won't be seeing :|

:stupid: I love watching a good chick-flick. You know, Sleepless in Seattle, When Harry Met Sally, Pretty Woman... But this Traveling Pants movie just looks sooooooo stupid!

C'mon now! We're supposed to believe that 4 different girls (not all the same build) can wear the same pair of pants? Not gonna happen. :nono:

I so agree with you Brian! Also, when a girl has a favorite pair of jeans, there is NO WAY she's going to let them travel around with three of her friends before she gets them back again!

exactly. now if it was 4 guys sharing a sweatshirt & baseball hat, sure....

They'd have to be 4 single guys, because we girls always steal our guys comfy sweatshirts and baseball hats! ;) My hubby says he only married me to get his clothes back. :D

Just watched it. Definitely not as bad as it sounds. Almost made me shed a tear during a part near the end. (this is coming from someone who's favorite movie is Gladiator)
