In this well-crafted Iranian drama, a broken hearing aid and a wayward bird become catalysts for a career change and sudden prosperity, as well as an ethical and spiritual quandary, for ostrich wrangler Karim (Reza Naji). Fired from his ranch job after one of his charges escapes, Karim sets off to get his daughter's hearing aid fixed in Tehran, where he's mistaken for a motorcycle cabbie -- and soon his fares and travels begin to warp his values.

Outstanding film. The poster is a bit misleading because the film is really about the father and his quest to figure out what he feels is really important in life. Great performances, never do you feel that anyone in the movie is acting. The father conveys so much emotion throughout the film without speaking, it's really moving.

I especially enjoyed the portrayal of country and city living in Iran. Most Americans know very little about the country and it was great to see the people there so humanized by the story.

The cinematography was excellent as well. It really is a beautiful country. Definitely worth checking out.

I will watch. The few Iranian shows I have seen have been good.

I recently watched it. I agree with Renz - A neat peak into a slice of Iranian culture that is rarely seen by most Americans, including me.
