IF he gave up every completion that Deandre Hopkins had today, he gave up 4 catches on 9 targets for 76 yards and one TD.

Jalen Ramsey gave up 7 for 55 and a TD.

The excellent Bengals pass defense gave up 7 catches for 73.

If today is what it looks like on Patrick Peterson's tough days, we will go down as one of the best CBs in NFL history.

Just becasue we are tilted as a fan base doesn't give us an excuse for stupidity. Peterson is amazing, and was excellent today.

I'm pretty sure he came in to today ranked #1 overall at CB.

Some people here are so jaded it's a joke.

I think it works both ways. If Peterson doesn't play well for one half, and someone mentions it people translate it into hating which couldn't be further from the truth. Every Cardinal fan is thankful for Patrick Peterson and thinks he's an elite player. I think people get awfully sensitive regarding certain players on here.

Slightly OT - (In football as in tennis)When a dude does good and builds creds for doing good, his opponents are likely to ease off against him (because otherwise he can burn them).

As a result, teams don't throw as much toward PP21 and WR's and QB's tend to cut him more slack.

Therefore (after those 2 big catches on PP by Hopkins) expect QB's to challenge Patrick more often than in the past.

Doubt that - the first catch - something was broken as PP was waving his arm (maybe calling out the route and expecting a safety to pick it up). He just got beat on the second route - that happens.

But, but, he can't tackle...

To play with this sarcasm.

Peterson, did in fact, miss a tackle when playing the Jaguars, and it allowed for a 1st down. That is what happened. He got trucked and looked bad doing it.

The rest of the game he locked down the Jags only weapon to the point where the only thing the Jags could do were trick plays, and completely unexpected QB keepers.

He also returned punts, having the longest return of the year in the process, and his return ended up setting up a field goal.

Peterson: 1 missed tackle, shut down the Jags passing game, helped the pass rush get to the QB, and had a punt return that setup points.

Yeah, I think the guy is pretty good, and made up for the 1st down he let up.

I have said it before, and will say it again, some people will complain about the harp music in heaven. Guy does so much for this team, and for some reason we have people who spend their entire time looking for ANYTHING negative to say and blow it out of proportion.

Just imagine if people spent the time they do critiquing Peterson's tackling ability, on what Peterson does well, maybe then they would see what the rest of us do.

in the list of things Cardinal fans need to worry about, if P2 isnt at the very bottom, he is second only to "will a snowstorm disrupt my tailgate outside the UofP?"
