Summit Entertainment officially announced Thursday (June 10) that "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" will be released as two separate films. The first of the two films is scheduled to be released in theaters on November 18, 2011. The release date for the second film was not announced.

Academy Award winner Bill Condon has signed on to direct both films, and after negotiating their various contracts, all the main players will be back — Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner, along with Billy Burke as Charlie Swan, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Jackson Rathbone, Nikki Reed, Ashley Greene, and Kellan Lutz — to finish the final chapter of the hugely popular franchise. Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg, who has written all the "Twilight" films thus far, is writing both parts of "Breaking Dawn." Rosenberg promised fans earlier this year that despite the book having graphic scenes of childbirth and sex, "Breaking Dawn" will be rated PG-13. "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" will start production in the fall.

A more appropriate title would be "Breaking Wind" because these movies stink.

No one? Really? This surprises me. I haven't seen it; I probably never will. The first was enough to have me say, "No, thank you" to the rest. I just figured someone on here would have something to say about "the scene".

My wife has seen it twice. She didn't appreciate "the scene", however. She had purchaed opening-day tickets some time ago, then won tickets for a pre-opening showing. She is not amped to see the second part next year.

My wife (a certified Twilight fan) really enjoyed this film. She will see it a few more times in the theatre, until it comes out on Blu-Ray.

She pretty much had the same "totally blown away" reaction to it as I did with The Dark Knight.

For me, it was better than I expected. The original Twilight is still the best stand-alone film (in my opinion) as it has a beginning, middle, and end, but Bill Condon did an excellent job making the most of the material.

My wife liked it but the first 20 minutes were agonizing for me. I'm not a big twilight fan, but I have seen them all with my wife, and this was my least favorite of the bunch.

I just came by to laugh at the guys who have seen this 'film' and to take away their man cards :D

Really? Do you actually think any of them still have their man card after getting through the first 10 Twilight movies (was there only 10, seemed like a hundred)?

I thought "Man Cards" were for dudes that drink crap beer?

I know right?

For me, Twilight=Castor Oil; it makes my wife happy, so I've learned to deal with it and find ways to cope...like seeing Ashley Greene on an Imax screen for the better part of the movie.

My "Man Card" is still intact...and it shall never be revoked by someone who rides a scooter, and likes Fergie's music!

Your explanation is acceptable, because it potentially allows you to watch more football, guzzle more beer, and watch re-runs of the Man Show. Carry on and retain your man card.

Don't worry...I've already kicked the crap out of that scooter-riding, Fergie-listening dork...and stay out, Shane! :D

I'm not shocked that Ken can't read. (somehow thinking i was the one pulling them) And nope stout you can't selectively pull man cards. Either it warrants it or it doesn't.

Ken acts like a girl. Don't know if you guys ave seen it? But I noticed ken screaming like a girl in the background of the Justin Bieber JC Penny commercials.

Did I mention that I miss my scooter? :D

Shane, you still have your scooter...I didn't take it when I kicked you out :D

Ken, 'never say never' is a fallacy; the kid is supposedly having a baby, so you can never have Bieber :D
