In "The World's End," 20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hellbent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by Gary King (Simon Pegg), a 40-year-old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their hometown and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub – The World's End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind's. Reaching The World's End is the least of their worries.

The first act is a little slow, entertaining, but still a little slow. however, once that bathroom atheism scene hits, the movie puts the pedal to the medal and never looks back.

Not as good as Shaun (but not many movies can be IMO) but much better then Hot Fuzz and pretty damn awesome overall.

I really dug it, but then again I'm a huge fan of just about everything Pegg. From Spaced to Scotty. ;-)

This was hit or miss. When it was on, it was really on. When it sagged, it really sagged. I agree the beginning was pretty much dragging. Eh, worth the price of admission.

Sounds a bit like Hot Fuzz to me. I enjoyed it, but my expectations were too high after Shaun of The Dead.

I'll be a bit more grounded, or drunk, when I see this one.

I recently watched it. Seemed like they got a bit lazy with this one.

Shaun of the Dead is a must see, if you haven't done so already.

:bang: A few years back, ex-wife intended to go see this and took our 14 year old daughter and her 15 year old boyfriend.

But went to "This is the End" by accident.
