Excellent film! Anthony Hopkins is great in this role as the affable and determined Burt Munro who follows his dream to run his 1920's-era Indian motorcycle at Bonneville's Speed Week in the early 1960's.

This is one of those films where there is no antagonist, just the protagonist Munro doing all he can to get from New Zealand to Utah. Along the way he meets many helpful and humorous characters who assist him in his quest and are in turn touched by Burt's good humor and his respect for his fellow man.

I thought the film would be mainly about Munro's trying to break the speed record, but roughly 2/3 of the film involves his trials and travails just trying to get to Bonneville which really makes for an enjoyable movie.

Definitely check out The World's Fastest Indian if it comes to your town.

1/8 myself insulted. But both of my grandparents on my mother's side would be 1/2 insulted.:)

This looks really good. I saw the previews on the Enron DVD that I just watched.

I just watched it. The quote above describes it perfectly. If this movie doesn't move you, you might want to get your ticker checked.
