Now that the Wizard of Az is here I wonder what kind of systems both O and D he will bring. Will he mimick the steelers or bring in his own?
As he has never been a HC I wonder if he even has a system or will have to develop one this spring.
Is it possible that we will retain the same playbook that Denny left?
The whole HC gig seems to be miles apart from OC or DC, hopefully he brings a road map for success and were not just going to stumble down the ...

Hopefully he could add to Denny's 15 play playbook.

Hey, there's nothing wrong with going down the yellow brick road, especially if you're looking for the Wiz. He might not have been the all seeing and all powerful, but he sure did solve all of their problems.

I hope this isnt the case or the Cards did a really bad interview.

Should have been asked in the first 30 minutes of the interview, both of them.

Why even suggest that Joe ?

Hmm, I really believe we hired a new HC with an offensive background who went 'Duh' when they asked about how he would build the offensive system.

Seriously for all the distrust here, I doubt even BB Jnr would be as dumb as that.

I guess I should have been more clear. I dont doubt that he has a play book , the system I am refering to is a whole system of teaching and conditioning along with levels of authority.
Ive seen it happen in my field of work that some one who is technically proficent rises to a mangement level only to struggle for a time until their mgmt style develops.

Good thread. I've been thinking about the questions I'd ask if I were a local beat writer:

- What were the specifics of the "plan" that knocked out MB and DG?

- How, if at all, will the new offense differ from the one we've been running?

- Similarly, how if at all will our defense change?

- What changes in training regimen - including weight training approach, length, timing and nature of practices, game planning scheduling - will he make?

- How concerned is Ken about the so-called "intangibles" - i.e. lapses in concentration, penalties, blown assignments, poor techniques etc. And what does he plan to do to address these concerns?

- Will he hire or retain an OC? If so, will he also hire a QB coach? Or will he combine the two positions?

- Has he considered adding someone to specifically teach and coach our CB's?
