Welcome to Amareca
Steve Kerr is TV analyst for TNT and writes exclusive stories for sports.yahoo.com.
Sean Elliott I believe is still working as an analyst for the San Antonio Spurs on TV and also for TNT, ABC or ESPN.
Charles Barkley is working as an "analyst" for TNT.
----------
All of these 3 guys will be part of the new ownership group of the Phoenix Suns.
There is nothing known about Barkley's and Elliotts involvement.
Also there could be more former players in the group.
Steve Kerr is going to be involved in personel discussions including draft, FA signings, FA recuitment and trades.
Is the NBA going to allow him to continue as a TV analyst? Kerr himself said he will for now continue his job as a TV analyst and thinks it benefits him scouting players as he sees almost every team up close during a season.
People who are involved with NBA teams are not allowed to comment of specific FAs for example.
Here is an excerpt from Steve Kerr's column some weeks ago.
Of course, if Phoenix can use its cap room to sign Kobe Bryant, it should throw it all to him and not look back. Superstars are difficult to secure, and if Colangelo has the chance to get Bryant, he will. Remember, teams need to sell tickets, and Bryant will do that. And, oh by the way, he's pretty good.
But if the Suns can't sign Bryant, they would be wise to follow the Denver Nuggets' lead and use their cap room judiciously.

Also there are rumors that Mark West who is our assistant GM now is in demand and the Raptors are interessted.
