Went and saw this today and the footage is fascinating... I had no idea even though I’ve been to DC and toured it. It never dawned on me that there isn’t a monument anywhere in the United States for honoring WWI

That’s a crying shame :(

We have one in my home town. What makes it even sadder is that there is no longer any WWI vets alive in this world with the last one passing away 6 years ago in England. I've had the honor of knowing a few who fought in this world, a couple being relatives. Now, WWII vets are dying and before we know it, the last of them will be gone. But Shane is right that there isn't a WWI stand alone memorial in DC and there needs to be. I can't wait to see this movie being the history buff that I am.

Just got back from seeing it. When the credits started rolling at the end, everyone was quiet. I did not stay to watch Peter Jackson talk about how he made this film.

The movie was amazing. It was crazy watching this film knowing the footage is over 100 years old. It definitely should win some Oscars.
