But were they that bad? I was watching the first half on my DVR(I haven't watched the second half yet). Yes, the first 2 or 3 series where horrible, but after that, we they that bad?
They only mustered 10 points against a defense that almost packed it in after the 1Q up 28 points. The Vikings didn't do anything fancy on D after being up so much and we still couldn't do anything on O. Our O Line is the one of worst I have ever seen.
LoyaltyisaCurse: Go back and watch film man. The gameplan isn't bad. The coaches are putting the guys in position to make plays but Kolb can't even make his reads before he's having to move.
The worst part is everybody wants to blame our Tackles and their not even the problem. In a prototypical pocket the guards are supposed to move with the tackle next to them so the OLB/DE the tackle is blocking can't bounce inside or outside to get to the QB (essentially leaving our T's on an island with a guy 10x more athletic). The film doesn't lie and Larry Fitzgerald isn't lying when he says "The plays are there but were not making them. It's human error." It's 100% true.
If you want to blame the scouting department for telling Whiz these are the guys he's looking for then by all means do it. If you want to blame Grimm for not coaching this group up then by all means go for it. But to blame Whiz and say he's a bad coach is absurd. I'll take the side of gamefilm every time because it's the most honest thing out there and the gamefilm says there's plays to be made all over the field today.
