That's exactly what they should be doing and what I, along with others, have predicted. They need to keep Palmer protected to have any chance.

Iuapti/Franklin at OG and Hudson/Wisniewski at C, I would assume are the main targets.

I'm down with the Cowboys approach instead. Draft em. Don't overpay old guys.

No surprises. The Cards have been one of the worst ranked teams rushing the ball. The have made improvements at the Tackle positions. Now it is time to improve the center and guard positions. They have to be able to get the run game going.

Just read an article yesterday that had Sendlein ranked next to last in Center production. Only the Rams center graded out worse.

I knew he allowed some push but I never thought he was as bad as that.

Never have been satisfied with Sendlein.

Our weak point has always been the middle of the Oline. Smart move to solidify it with some quality players. Will benefit the offense in so many ways.

I think it would be funny if we poach another home run offensive lineman from yet another horrible decision from the Raiders to let one leave via free agency two years in a row.

I am HOPING beyond hope we pull that off.

We already pulled the ultimate rare insert card of a talented LT in his prime in FA...that just doesn't happen. A C and a G should be much easier.

We've shown we can't draft 'em and we can't groom em. Go buy 'em.

The problem with our interior lineman is they're playing next to another interior lineman that is equally bad or worse. Gotta overhaul 2/3 of them and hope Cooper gets it together.

I find it interesting the week after the season ended & there was a thread about the Oline. I brought up that Sendlein was the last piece of puzzle left from the Oline that maybe he was part of the problem in the lack of a running game that had been bad during his tenure. I was flamed for it & now it seems everyone is all excited we might get a better center to anchor the Oline. :D

Lyle is a solid, steady player...nothing more & that's coming from a Horns fan. It's time to turn the page & try something new imo.

palmer had a good protection this year, the injury he had was due to the weakness of his ligament

+1

I am not sure where the talent is in this free agent class that the Cardinals are going to spend money on.

Mike "I'm hurt" Iupati ? Please I hope not.

Justin Blalock was released, and he is a pretty good veteran guard, that is a signing I can get behind.

As for center? I just don't see anyone that is worth free agent money.

JMHO.

Guards/Centers

1. Mike Iupati
2. Orlando Franklin
3. Rodney Hudson
4. Stefen Wisniewski
5. Clint Boling
6. Chris Myers
7. Justin Blalock
8. Todd Herremans
9. James Carpenter
10. Brian De La Puente
11. Rob Sims
12. Will Montgomery
13. Dominic Raiola
14. Jonathan Goodwin
15. Willie Colon
16. Mike Pollak
17. Charlie Johnson
18. Joe Berger
19. Dan Connolly
20. Samson Satele
21. Daryn Colledge
22. Paul Fanaika
23. J.D. Walton
24. Adam Snyder
25. Davin Joseph

One under the radar G I think might be of interest is Joe Reitz of the Colts. Played for BA...has excellent size (6-6, 326) and has played well at G and RT.

Nothing would make me happier to see us FINALLY put together a strong oline. It's been the weak part of this franchise for as long as I can remember.

I was right there with you, Bucky. I've wanted a new C for quite a while now. Sendlein just isn't good enough.

I am always good with investing in the offensive line. It allows you to do so many different things on offense, and normally is lower risk.

He has been getting a pass for years. I have been singing Sendlein's crappings for years now. He has been bad for years and every one thought he must be doing fine if he isn't replaced......
