The Lakers made some mistakes with Luol Deng, and only one of them was signing him to a four-year, $72 million contract. The NBA Africa Game afforded the 33-year-old a rare opportunity to show he can still play this sport. I sure hope he savored it because we all know the Lakers aren’t going to run Deng out on the court for a meaningful game anytime soon.
