Today I get an email from the administrative assistant from a guy I do business with and she copies him on the email about a new project.

I reply to both of them regarding the project.

Then I get an email back from him ccing his assistant that contains one line as follows:

"Check out my new favorite site ! www.___________"--referring to a pornsite.

Now there is no way this guy intended to send me this email. He is extremely professional and there is no way he would send this to me, let alone copy his assistant on it.

My initial thought was that he has some computer virus that is generating the message.

Has anyone heard of any viruses like ths?

if that is on your corp network you have real problem

The email came in from another office. No one in my office has received the email as far as I know, so hopefully it hasn't spread to my system.

Check the source.

If you look at the complete header it will show what server the message was sent from. If the source is the same as the legitimate messages he has a problem.

Anyone can send mail and have anything as the from address.
