Morez Johnson Jr. has found a landing spot in the Big Ten Conference.

The 6-foot-9 freshman forward announced on social media Monday that he will be attending Michigan for his sophomore season. He entered the NCAA men's basketball transfer portal this past Friday.

During the 2024-25 season, Johnson appeared in 30 games, averaging 7.0 points and 6.7 rebounds to go with 33 blocks. He started eight games in row until a broken wrist sidelined him for five games.

Johnson Jr. is one of three Illini players in the portal along with Tre White and Carey Booth.
