The biggest and most intriguing aspect of this Cardinal draft involves aspects of Henry for Shelton trade talks with any deal expected to not be consummated til Draft day and (depending on who you talk to) involve either a demand by Buffalo for more than a straight-up trade or a similar demand by the Cardinals.
So the questions remain: By the time we pick at #8, (a) will we have already filled a need at RB? and (b) will there be an adjustment of where we pick (and how many picks we have) by the time we draft?
Harry seems to feel (and I tend to agree) that, whether we land Henry or not, the Cardinals will pass on a RB at #8 in favor of a CB; but there are a lot of good RB options available to us at #44 or later. Regardless of the Henry situation, I think we'll draft a RB somewhere during rounds 2 - 5, and we'll land a good one.

One of the Titan scouts was on TV talking about him. Jerry Jones has very close ties with Arkansas where he graduated and is always in town. You can bet he will be in the mix for Matt Jones as will Nick Saban who watched him for 4 years against LSU. I think a lot of these people are not talking about Jones much thinking they can steel him in some later round. I now think he goes in round 2. You just do not come across athletes his size who can run that fast, throw the ball that far, jump that high. You cannot teach this stuff and I do not care if he ever played receiver or TE or not. To much God given talent that rarely shows up in a football player. He is going to be a nightmare for DB's with all sorts of options and plays you can design for him. Someone is going to get very lucky when they sign Matt Jones. I am now of the opinion I would take him in round 2 and make him a TE. No problem for him to add 10-15 lbs and bring him up to 255 or more. He is one big muscular guy who moves like a 6' RB. He will catch the ball and he will hang on to it. What DB is going to jump with a dunking basketball power forward with giant hands running a 4.37-4.39.

Rd1 - OLB Derrick Johnson
Rd2 - WR/TE Matt Jones
Rd3 - OG Chris Kemoeatu
Rd3b - Traded to Miami w/Clement for Surtain
Rd4 - CB Antonio Perkins
Rd5 - Sproles, Sheldon, Parrish (anyone who can be KR/PR)
Rd7 - Maurice Clarett

Sharpe played 1 year at WR for Denver, did nothing, and then Shanahan convinced him to move to TE and the rest was history.
Jones is quite a bit faster than Sharpe was he has the speed to play WR but I don't know if he has the quickness, there's a lot more to getting open than just straight ahead speed and he'll have a much tougher time beating CB's than he would beating LB's and Safeties at TE.
