So I've got an Asus router and they finally posted a new firmware update.

Even though i had mid tier speed from Cox - i think 15-20mb or so - I always had bad speedtest results and this was really noticeable during FTPing.

This is what i used to get
Just now, Cox.

Updated the firmware and BAM! Here are my new results

Did you speed check on the Cox Internet site? I bet you get even better results hitting their servers directly.

Nah, as I'd expect the Cox servers to be faster by default. The ping isn't really going anywhere besides the modem and their server.

But I do pick a few servers around the world to test as well and everything is pretty much 2.5x faster.
