suggestion..

You need to be registered with the site to read this, however here's the Link

Does Mets pitcher Victor Zambrano get O's closer Jorge Julio and pitching prospect Hayden Penn? Can Braden Looper and Mike Cameron entice Arizona into giving up ready-now first base stud Conor Jackson? Can Penn then be spun as a part of a package for a slugger, maybe Adam Dunn from the pitching-desperate Reds?

First, not every GM in baseball is as big of a ******* as Steve Phillips.

Secondly, this is a huge trash for treasure deal. Why the hell would Arizona give up a prized prospect who probably could start right now if needed in exchange for a crappy CF and a sporatic closer? They already have that in Cruz and the random assortment of closers in training they have now.

Please.. Quit with the ******* "suggest-a-trades" New York.. Stick to shoving your nostrils up Steinbrenner's ass a little more and leave the logical trades to those who have enough good sense to know a craptastic trade when they see it.

What's asinine is comparing Jose Cruz to Mike Cameron. Cameron's one of the best defensive CFs in the game and would instantly be the best leadoff guy in DBack history. He's annually one of baseball's leaders in P/PA and is an OBP *****. Cruz is a lacksadasical bum who really can't do much of anything well on the baseball field.

That said, I wouldn't do this trade because I have such high hopes for Conor and this team will not compete this year. But if all it took was Santos and an average pitching prospect for Cameron then I'd be all over it. And I also don't see what a Mets writer has to do with Steinbrenner.

No, Cameron definately is an upgrade over that lazy bum Cruz, and I'm not comparing the two by any means. However, the point behind my rant was it should take a little more than Mike Cameron to get someone with Jackson's upside. Braden Looper doesn't cut it either.

Roughly my point. Jackson has a huge upside and could be a cornerstone of the franchise for years to come..

The Met writer also does some double up work for the Yankees..

My point was that saying Mike Cameron is "crappy" is way off base. He's easily one of the Top 10 overall CFs in baseball.
