I don't know. I was in agreement until I went back and read the threads from last year when Warner was negotiating with the Cards and his agent mentioned that the talks had created hard feelings.

Antonio Smith hinted toward the same thing. Calvin Pace had nothing good to say about Arizona, Leonard Davis people also talked about the ill will negotiations with the Cards created. Now we have guys who seemingly can't wait to get out of town in Dansby and Rolle and have traded Boldin who was also supposed to be unhappy.

We'll see.

but we can take a step back and still win our division. If we can do that while "retooling", then I understand.

You can't blame players for getting the most money they can and you can't blame a company for not overpaying for assets.

You basically have to say "Do I trust the organization as evalutors of talent"?

Judging from how many starters we have gotten in the draft, I am more inclined to trust our guys than not.

The year after Kurt left was always going to be a rebuilding/retooling season.

Best to clean house at this point given that we're not gonna go anywhere with Leinart (in his first yr) in the postseason even if we get there.

Won't be the end of the world if we go 8-8 or 7-9 while getting a bunch of rookies, Leinart, and even guys like Toler, Brown, and Davis significant experience.

I'm just looking forward to a good draft class, and 2011.

We tend to burn bridges with players, seemingly more so than other teams.

But what does being good talent evaluators have to do with creating hard feelings in negotiations with your players? Or creating an atmosphere where your guys can't wait to get out of town. I was hoping those days were over now I have doubts.

I may be making too much out of it but the hard feelings comments concerning Warner have me concerned about the future of the franchise. Probably just the history talking but like I said we'll see.

Whiz will have a big hand in forming this team. With his extension in place it's on him to find the right pieces to make it work. Replacing RG's guys with guys he has input on. Hopefully no more Al Johnsons or Holts in FA. 6 picks in the first 4 rounds to work with.
