Is anyone here unhappy that the colts kicked our arses on Sunday night at home? They showed the CARDINALS just how far we are away from playing CHAMPIONSHIP football.

Yes we did have two drives were we turned the ball over that we could have made that game a BARN BURNER,(BUT)Championship teams don't fumble inside the five and throw an interception on the one going in to score against a team that is probably now the best team in the AFC (unless they have to play the pats in the snow) which I don't think its gonna come down to that in the AFC Championship game.It will be the colts, pats & steelers at the top core with Denver,Baltimore,& and a big mix up on the last team.I know the names tho.

A TOUCHSTONE is something you use to test the mettle you have in your hand to tell if its 24 karot gold down to 10 Karot gold.To Christians JESUS is thier TOUCHSTONE.The rock on which they test themselves.Just used as an example okay.:D

Taking every game one at a time we know how slow we started against probably the best game the 9ers will play all year against a good to great team. We've had many pitfalls in every game we've played except for last weeks game where most everything but a fake punt slipped past us.

This team is really FOCUSING and using the Character and leadership and health we now enjoy to become something special in 10 more games.Like bringing Beanie along in those games and getting him prepared to play Championship NFL Football. We also will be experimenting with our offensive line "IF" we don't see better results or the same mistakes out of one player and maybe two.Whiz wants the best 11 on the field at all times and I've seen a couple dissapear and never come back due to just that.

This game is not for the media or RESPECT or for the players to brag about at all.Anything BUT that. Its a game that we are glad he saints woke up the giants and got them as hot as a hornets nest as the N.Y. media is stirring up as we speak for the CARDINALS game on Sunday night. They are questioning themselves now too.

The CARDINALS OF 2009 are a totally different group than last years bunch of Champions.A different mindset.WE ARE LEARNING TO EXPECT PERFECTION.It can hurt as much as it makes you better.Thats why when a big mistake is made on the 5 or 1 yard line going in for a score it has seemed to have a major effect on the Psyche of this CARDINALS bunch.

We are learning not to let that effect us as much as it can lead to a loss as it did in the colts game.Yes we need less to no turnovers but we have to learn mistakes happen and how to correct them.

The CARDINALS want to play the best giants team they can put on the field in N.Y. We want to test our METTLE at the 1/3 rd poll of this season and see where we stand as a group of CHAMPIONS that are climbing and wanting to improve every game.

Maybe coach Whiz is'nt moving as fast as some fans want him to move but he is timing it out just right.I assure you.He has his finger on the pulse so to speak. We have time to move another O-Lineman into place IF NEED BE.We also are adding plays each week that make our offense much harder to pin down and not be so predictable as we became in the playoffs last season.

We are'nt going down field for the big plays as much as we did last year at this time.We are having to work on adding the running game into the mix now along with the passing game and making sure we have the best personel in for the play called.Hey,Beanie just caught his first NFL pass last week. He's still focusing extra hard on ball securing since his 2 fumble game and soon he will get back to doing things without having to think about it so much. When he starts doing it naturally then we will see a guy I think can perform higher than the two Running Backs picked ahead of him in the draft.

Beanie was the project out of the three but once he got it down,(IF HE CAN) he has the body type to be a stronger runner than the denver or colts rookie RB's.We need some quick hitters and getting Beanie to the outside without having to wait on a pulling or trapping lineman as we pull both Sendlein and Wells on many plays.Sometimes they are what clog the hole also.So the power trap is not always the right play to run.

The giants leading tackler is their MLB and we need to take him out of this game as much as we can. They like to rush just four and now with the weakness in the secondary can't afford to rush a db or Warner will see that and throw a touchdown.Thats how they played the saints. They did'nt get to Bree's and he had a field day.

Can we keep Warner clean??? If so were gonna have a lot of yards and first downs. If Boldin isn't 100% (which might be hard to be) he ought to sit a game and let us use our speediest guys instead to beat this pass secondary. The saints did it with the long ball also.Something we are'nt doing as much and I wonder if we're gonna put it up for Fitzgerald this Sunday Night? I think so.:D

I'm gonna repeat a line from another post I made earlier in the fact we have about 10 players in Warner,Okeafor,Haggans,Robinson,McFadden,Wilson,Berry,Gandy(age)but still producing and Hayes,Boldin(contract)Dansby(contract) Rolle(contract)and other leaders like Dockett,Fitzgerald,R.Wells who are at the peak of their NFL career andBreaston, Watson,Branch,DRC,Campbell,Hightower,Latui,Patrick, who are just breaking out and our rookies who are contributing in Beanie,R.Johnson,Toler and Howler & Davis.(Shame about Cody Brown).

Plus we have players that have'nt had a chance to prove themselves in our 3 other offensive lineman that are training and hopefully improving.Keith,H.Johnson.We have a veteran OT to bring in if we need too and I'm still unsure about Early Doucet.

What I'm getting at is mainly with the older vets that are playing together in a system that allows them to rotate in and stay fresh with thier younger counterparts and this and next year for sure closes this groups WINDOW on a Superbowl run.

THEY KNOW THAT!!!!!!!!!!

We want to win every game that we can win.One game at a time and when the season is over we will add it all up and see what we have to do to get to the CHAMPIONSHIP GAME.If its in Nawlin's then so be it.I don't fear them as much as I do the colts with the super quickfast DE's that can effect our throwing game more. They are'nt as strong and as fast at LB as the colts are either.Yet they do have some very good db's.Although Bob Sanders is due back this week and that guy Bullit who replaced him is one guy I would find it hard to put on the bench.(Thats their problem).

I don't think our guys are afraid of anyone.CHARACTER flows from the top of this organization and its never gonna go back to the way it was.NEVER!!! Drafting at the end of the draft did'nt seem to effect getting some really great players that are having an impact and will really become special players so far.

This can't be seen by the pundit sitting in his chair on the set of espn.Only WE know this.Lets find out how PURE we are this SUNDAY NIGHT.

I think we win it.Good game weather.Just stopping the easy long bomb throws is the key along with keeping Hixon in a box when he returns kickoffs and punts. Those are my top 3 keys to this game.Howler has 7 special teams tackles while our rookie LB Davis has 5.We won't be playing at qwest field. This is giants stadium where they might end up booing the giants instead.

I think THIS CARDINALS team really enjoys playing ON THE ROAD.Just Chicago on 11/8 and Nashville on 11/29th will be the coldest games WE'LL play during the season. With many dome teams looking good for the playoffs in saints, falcons, vikings as the most powerfull teams in the NFC to travel to."We're on a mission from GOD"......Blues Brothers.......:D

WAY TO GO DOUG------ this may be your best post yet. You have captured the spirit that Whiz has brought to this team, and put it on display for us to see. This is a good, (no), it is a great read.

Hey! Doug. EXCELLENT POST...

Well Presented. :) As I was reading,I was thinking of something Kurt said just before the start of last years' NFC CHAMPIONSHIP game. It was just BEFORE kick-off and he was asked about what he was going to tell his teammates. MOST of whom had NEVER ever experienced anything like this before. I'm paraphrasing but he said, "The game will have ebbs & flows". (it DID!) Just keep working"... I think seasons are like that, too.

As fans, because unlike the players who are focusing in practice on their next opponent, we have ALOT of time on our hands to discuss all the pro's & cons of the current state of Cardinal football. So, I think we tend to over-react to each WIN or Loss. The "magic" #'s are REALLY (9). WIN 9 games and there's a pretty good chance you'll make the play-offs. ...And the other not-so "magic" # is 7. LOSE 7 (or preferably) less and again, pretty good chance you'll get in. At 3-2 we're nowheres near either the 9 or the 7. So, "ebbs & flows". KEEP PLAYING HARD!! KEEP WORKING ON GETTING BETTER! I think New York will be a GOOD test. We're clearly playing better and I think emotionally we're starting to gell. ...And since I DON'T believe in "curses" (GOD "trumps" ANY curse) I can still dream of a Super Bowl appearance. GO CARDS! Again, Doug, THANKS for taking the time to share so much.
