....... right now! I am sure this bosrd is gonna light up about Max this, Hightower that, beanie this, DA that, Toler this. The truth is this team is just not that good. The play calling to me is really the true culprit. If I could change one thing it would not be give Beanie the rock more or THT or start DA or any of that, it would be hire an OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR and hand the play calling over. Thats the biggest problem I see. We are extremely predictable.

And I know all the football experts on this board will disagree with me but I am not looking for agreement. I am just stating my opinion.

Flame away!!!

lack of play at the QB position is dictating alot of what is happening on the play calls.
I wish Whiz would stop with his persecution of fumblers. THT was hitting 10 yards a pop on average yeah he fumbled but you can't just sit the guy for the rest of the game maybe if he did it again...their defense gets paid as well..

Bottom line is you don't win consistantly in this league without a very good QB. It's going to be a longgggg season & things right now don't look very good for the future IMO.

Can disagree. THT was blowing them up. But Whis has to make his point and that hurt the teams chance to win. He needs to let go and focus on running the team, not the offense.

well I haven't felt this down for 3 or 4 seasons...that said we had chances to win this if it wasn't for two special team errors ....oh who am I trying to fool
we sucked...:(
your right Whiz needs to step back and be a head coach and get a OC but that won't happen this season for sure.

We aren't good at anything this year. In fact we're not even mediocre at most things. Even Buffalo can put up 30+ points. We have not clicked on offense, even though that's the reason ML is gone, and our defense is falling into old habits with new players. There is a deep problem with this team. It comes down to coaching. The talent evaluation is way off, and we are suffering because of it.

The division is bad and the other teams have problems to. We don't have a QB that is even functional. Won't go anywhere without one.

None of the teams in the NFC West are good, so we have a chance.

The Cardinals just don't have any room for error. We aren't good enough to win when we commit turnovers. We have as much talent as any other team in our division. If Cardinals learn how to play a ball control offense, then we will win the division.

And what makes you think the HC is going to change his pass first philosphy? Until all 3 QB's are hurt (god forbid) he won't change his approach & hasn't since he first became the coach here. I'll believe it when I see it.

Actually, our defense probably had its best game today. Was there 5 or 6 sacks. Given the terrible mistakes made by the returners and Max Hall, the Seahawks should have won the game by a much bigger margin.
But it certainly would be better if Cromartie would get his head together and some of the tackling was poor.

We're averaging more yards per play rushing (4.5) than we are overall (4.4).

Today we averaged 4 YPA (not counting sacks) through the air. That's putrid. We averaged 5.65 YPC rushing. So we obviously rushed the ball 20 times and passed 33 times.

What is the point of self-scouting during the bye week if you don't learn anything about yourself?

Whiz is a good play caller. Don't forget that he was OC for the Steelers when they won the SB. The problem is the QB position more than anything. Excuse me for stating the obvious.

as I said in many thread before K9, this team needs to be running the ball more & relying less on the pass given the QB situation, the Oline and the health at WR. Wiz is not giving this team the best chance to win!!!

Excellent post. Poor personnel decisions and the refusal to hire competent coordinators since Haley is really taking its toll.

When you only take one offensive lineman before the fifth round in four years, the talent on the line will suffer. When you can't identify the proper qualities in OLBs, your pass rush will suffer. When you base the QB position on who gets the most fired up, we all suffer, because Hall and Anderson have no business trying to be starters in the league right now.

I'm also ready for a real D-Coordinator. Billy Davis is incapable of making adjustments. Continuing to play off-coverage on Mike Williams after he caught the ninth short slant of the day is inexcusable.

No they're not a very good TEAM.

As hard as it may be to believe the 2010 offense has scored fewer points through the first 6 games than the 2003 offense. That horrid 2003 team already had 7 TD passes by game six. This year we have three.

Lynch had 44 yards on 17 carries vs the Bears last week. This week after just three carries he has 50 yards.

The Cards had an 8 play drive today where DeWreck threw 6 incomplete passes.

This is one of those days where stats don't tell the whole story. Lynch was running into a brick wall for the majority of the day and was bottled up extremely well. I think the defense has improved immensely into a solid unit ever since the blowouts at Atlanta and San Diego.

Agreed about the passing offense though. Max Hall was missing on every pass and making DA look like an all pro in comparison. It sucks that when the running game finally gets going, the back decides to turn the ball over. :mulli:

You did notice that the Seahawks starting Left Tackle left the game toward the end of that first drive where Seattle just rammed the ball down the Cards throat? I don't know how much difference it made but Seattle was just gouging the Cards D during that opening drive.

Terrific irony from that first drive of Seattle's: The drive stalled because of a False Start! The Seahawks got 12th manned. :D

The Seahawks really only made two big plays that drive with the pass to Stokely and the 39 yard run which could've easily been stopped if Toler didn't have a big habit of missing tackles. The Seattle RBs made gains of 8, 3, -1, 4, 2 before Okung went out with injury

If you are constantly relying on your corner to make a one on one tackle against a RB in space you've got more pressing issues. Toler, for the most part, is a great tackler. 100x the tackler DRC is, that's for sure.

Our defense played great today minus those two plays you mentioned. They were definitely showing how a bend but don't break mindset works. I still don't understand why the hell we have DRC playing 10 yards off the LOS every other snap. He's one of the fastest players in the league, I can see if he is that far of in 3rd and long situations but come on. Williams was eating us up on short routes because cro had no shot at covering him that far off the ball. We need to take a page out of Haley's book and bring in some competent coordinators in the offseason.

The Seattle RBs went -4 and -2 on that drive after Okung went out.

Giving up 50 yards on 3 running plays is not good no matter how you try to spin it.

I agree the Cardinals are not a good TEAM. They have a handful of good pieces in Dockett, Fitzgerald, and Wilson at times. And Washington has the potential to develop into a very good linebacker IMO.

A good quarterback and two pro-bowl receivers can do a lot to make the rest of a team look better than they are. But with 2/3 of that gone for good, the Cardinals are an average team IMO. Did you see how often the Seahawks had a single DB on Fitz? Talk about lack of respect for your passing game.

And the coaching just has to improve. DRC cannot be offside repeatedly on FG attempts. Jason Wright has to let that ball go through to LSH. Roberts is way too lackadaisical back there on punt returns. It goes on and on.

At this point, quarterback looks to be a priority in the offseason IMO.

This is what the people who defend every aspect of the team don't get. The Cards just don't play like a cohesive unit. It's like we have 11 individuals on the field doing their own thing on every snap. Far too many brain cramps from otherwise talented players.

That and some of the worst QB play in NFL history.
