If we win...we still have a shot...Seattle prob will lose and so will St.L....Bit if we lose this week...then the board might even get slower(already has) But then we might as well lose every game and draft a QB..unless we know for sure we can get Kolb or VIck....

If this place gets slower if we continue to lose I am bumming. This year is still more interesting than a lot of the years past. IMO, last breath was last week, but I have seen stranger things. I just barely found out about this place, and have learned a lot , met some long awaited Cards fans ( nobody in my house understands ) and even scored a free ticket where I hung out tail gaitin with ASFN.

I am not expecting a big turn around in the near future. This season was a bust from the start, I just didn't know it. QB problems have really help point out every weakness in our design. Sucks now but if we work on it, we will be ready when we have a QB.

This team is playing like the same old Cards for sure, but we haven't had the young blood in the owners box long enough to make me think he wasn't serious or motivated by our success.

If you want to talk about how horrible it was and will soon be again (not you campos, that sounded funny), do your thang. At least I will have some one to talk foot ball with. Cards rule!

Slower as in better ? Then yes. :D

Campos, I never thought I would see the day where your hope would out last mine. A tip of the hat to you good sir.

I already have a fork in this team. I have lowered my expectations of this team, and accepted thos expectations 4 times since free agency.

At this point, I believe this is one of the worst teams in the league. Any win at this point will be an upset, and a surprise in my eyes.

This team is the ultimate wildcard team right now, they could win any game that is on the schedule for the rest of the year, but they could also easily lose them as well.

If I am a Cardinals player, I must realize I am playing for my job right now. A lot of free agents to be, and a lot of players on the last year of thier contract.

I agree with a ton of this, good post.

Last week was the last breath, this week the doctors have the paddles out and are zapping the red bird in hopes he opens his eyes.

With a good QB this team is at 5-4 or better.

Last breath was when they didnt get McNabb. This season was over before it started. Back to the good old days of the 10 year rebuild. Can you say 1999?

I think all we needed was an average game manager. you know the no/low mistakes type. and we go 5-4 min
however our defense would still cost us games. :(

All hope was shattered last week after giving up 36 points to a mediocre Seattle Seahawks led by a washed up Matt Hasselbeck that could've scored much more if they didn't put their foot on the brakes.

There is no hope left this season. We are one of the three worst teams in the league. Watch for entertainment only or you will be heartbroken.

shocko dismayo.

I dont guess you have been watching many of the games. I can sum it up for you though. This team has NO QB. This team has more special teams TDS than rushing or passing TDs. You really think that they should be expected to beat anybody? Now that is shocko dismayo.

Vick is staying in Philly and even if he wasn't I'd rather lose than have him play for us

Echoing what others have said already. Last week was our last breath. Now I simply only care about beating the 49ers and Cowboys.

Actually, I figured after bowing out of contention last week that we would see some changes made, and was looking forward to seeing if we really did have any depth or young guys that might want to actually play and get some insight on next year... but NOOOOOOOOOOOO....we are going to try to "correct some things" and "make some more plays" instead...well THAT seems practical :-(

Only reason why I said this was because of the schedule. I win this week may instill enough confidence to win games against some weak competition. Plus with Seattle's schedule. They can lose 5 games easy really. This week looks like a definite loss. Saints have alot to play for...Bush is back...and Seattle's Williams just pulled an idiot move by getting a DUI. If they are 5-5 and we are 4-6...2 games is not unsurmountable with the schedule...And if we Can beat Kansas City why can't we win any other game?

But like Rugby said...we could lose very game too.

Wrong Williams. The DUI Williams plays in Tampa.

I think you meant more returns for TDs than either passing or rushing.

2 KRs, 5 FRs, and 1 INTreturn. And they have 7 passing and 6 rushing TDs.

BTW: Aeneas Williams holds the NFL record for most fumble return yards in a career.

The chances of us getting Vick are zero. The chances that the Bidwills would even want Vick are zero. Bidwill senior would never never allow the team to even consider Vick. Kolb is not a playoff type QB IMHO. If we by some strange reason do not draft a QB then we will need to sign two QBs in FA or use Anderson as the backup.

Kansas City has a lot riding on this game and they will be playing hard. Their stadium and crowd will also present problems for us. I see very little chance for us to win this game. The last time I looked we were a 9 point underdog. In any event, this team has next to a zero chance of making the playoffs. Look out for the Rams. They seem to be putting it together. There #1 pick QB Bradford is the real deal and he is only getting better each week. I do not think the Seahawks will win the division.

We are officially LAST in the NFL in defense. Is that reason enough to fire the defensive coordinator come the end of the season? If Whiz does not do it then Graves should. Most any company would fire a man who is responsible for some important job and who finishes LAST. If for no other reason but to send a message to the fans and players. Things to do at seasons end:

1. Draft the best QB you can.
2. Fire the DC.
3. Hire an OC. If Whiz balks then "perhaps" give him a choice of leaving or hiring.
4. Obtain the best NFL experienced QB available either through FA or trade. If you do not draft a QB then we need to add two QBs to our team.
5. Either extend Fitz or trade him as if you let him enter FA he is gone and we get nothing.
6. Any of our core of good players (whoever they are) should be extended if they are within one year of FA. Do not wait until the last moment.
7. It is sad to say but I think our free safety is no longer the player he once was. It is time to sign one or draft one. This is still a business and all about winning.
8. The Bidwills should step up and use most if not all of the money the team is alloted for payroll. We have a lot of needs and it is going to take some money.
9. I know it will never happen but I have longed for a real GM for many years. Graves has become a fixture and almost a member of the family. My guess he is here for as long as he wants the job and regadrless of the teams performance. Maybe they could promote him to some other job and hire a real GM.

Numbers wise we are near the bottom in nearly every category in the NFL. It is going to take more than a bandaid to make our team whole and competitive. We do not want to go back to where we came from. The writers are already making us a laughing stock.
