A team of experts are assembled when the U.S. Navy makes a chilling discovery: an extra-terrestrial craft has landed in the mid-Atlantic Ocean. When her plan (called THRESHOLD) is activated upon the news of the UFO, she and her hand-picked team of eclectic specialists get to work deciphering the intention of the craft and preparing for the possibility of a crisis situation -- an alien invasion.

STARS:
Carla Gugino as Molly Anne Caffrey
Brian van Holt as Cavennaugh
Robert Patrick Benedict as Lucas Pegg

First hour sucked, it was too rushed, too cheesy...but I liked the second hour, and the end was good.

It kind of reminded me of The 4400 (a mediocre show), but not quite as good.

I'm not expecting much in the future and neither is CBS since they're airing it on Friday nights.

I think the X-Files started out on a Friday night :)

That's kinda funny--general consensus agrees that Braga was one of the orchestrators of the demise of Star Trek. I'm not sure I agree with that (haven't been a big Trek fan in some time), but that's the prevaling opinion online, at least.

PS: Sorry, :offtopic:

This show left a lot of open questions to be developed. Especially, when you think of the possibilities they can go on from here. I will give it some more shows to see how it looks after the pilot. Pilots always are different the the following episodes. Sometimes better, sometimes worse in what they think needs to be changed from the pilot. You know those studio big wigs. ;)

I agree, for the most part, but it's still nice to see him back.

So how long before the aliens make contact beyond the obvious manipulations of humans? Eventually they have to bring in some kind of alien presence to go toe to toe with us. Having different humans doing plots each week will get old. ;)

I did like last week's show. Ready for more though....

Yeah, I liked the pilot probably more than you did. But now I am losing interest. I may kick it to the curb when other shows start up.

Whoa, did anyone see Threshhold this last week? I can't believe they killed a main character off, and the way they did it, too! This show is finally picking up some steam! :D

Threshold Among Latest Cancelled Shows
Source: The Hollywood Reporter
November 29, 2005

The Hollywood Reporter says ABC has opted not to pick up additional episodes of the Gail O'Grady comedy Hot Properties, which has completed its original 13-episode order and will stay on the air through December. The Friday entry revolves around four men-obsessed women in a Manhattan real estate office.

After a sluggish start in its original Friday 9 p.m. slot and equally soft results from the trial move of Threshold to the Tuesday 10 p.m. slot last week, the alien-invasion drama will be taken off the schedule for the last Tuesday of the November sweep this week, replaced by a repeat of CBS' promising new crime drama Criminal Minds. No new episodes will be produced after the original 13.

Fox has also cancelled Reunion, about six friends caught up in a murder mystery. The show has struggled in the killer Thursday 9 p.m. slot (opposite CBS' CSI), dropping significantly from its The O.C. lead-in.
