More stuff from the press release

ODDS & ENDS
• Dating back to their match-ups in the old NFC
Central, Dennis Green has a 10-5 record
against Mike Holmgren.
• The Cardinals defense ranks #1 in the NFC
and #5 in the NFL in red zone efficiency.
They’ve held opponents to just 20 TDs in 47
trips for a 42.6 red zone TD percentage.
• CB David Macklin recorded his fourth INT of
the season last week, establishing a new
career high (3 in 2001 with Indy. He also has a

• RB Emmitt Smith needs 197 rushing yards
over the last two games to record an NFL
record 12th career 1,000-yard season. His next
rushing TD will give Emmitt 10 in 2004. It
would be his ninth career season with 10+ and
his first since 1999.
• It was against the Seahawks on 10/27/02 that
Emmitt Smith became the NFL’s all-time
leading rusher (107 yards for Dallas).
• S Adrian Wilson needs 10 tackles for the
second 100-tackle campaign of his career

Clearly he's lost this team.
I, for one, in that regard, using as many commas as possible, would, like to say that his past, so to speak, is most definately an issue so far, in that regard.

Through 14 games these numbers make you cry.

San Francisco 31 Arizona 28 OT
Arizona 28 San Francisco 31 OT

But on the bright side this year is the first time since 1993 that the Cards have won two games in the same season by 24 points or more. With many more to come.

Last year's team scored the fewest points in the league AND gave up the most. This had not happened in 32 years - since the 1-13 Bills of 1971. So of course any statistical comparisons to last year are going to look great.

But let's be honest - the Cardinals will finish 5-11 or 6-10. Good enough for the season ticket holders to be optimistic and renew. Bad enough for a high first round pick - but not bad enough for a top 3 pick. Can't spend that kind of money, you know.

In other words, right in the sweet spot of the "Bidwill Business Plan." 18 years in Az, still going strong.

:thumbdown

Talking crap about the Bidwills is easy. But you need to pick up a paper once a decade or so and read it.

You might have a point, except that we had a Top 3 pick last year and used it. And gave the guy we picked a $20 million signing bonus. Nice try though.

Which I'm sure they were not happy about. I really do believe that they try to finish 5-11 or 6-10 every year.

This is possibly the daftest post I have ever seen (outside of the P&R board).

Even if I bought into your diseased philosophy, the Cardinals would make far more money it they consistently were in the playoffs.

However, the whole concept is just plain irrational. Maybe its true the Bill,Bidwill Snr is not a good manager actually I think is very likely to be true. However he isn't running the show now, M Bidwill is and he is very different from his father.

Do I know them well, no but unlike you I have met them both and it's clear they are very different people. M Bidwill want's to win, of that I have no doubt. He promoted Rod Graves last year (remember RG has only been the GM for a year) and brought in one of the winningest coaches they could find.
