Again it wasn’t the team doctors, it was the incompetent consultant the NFL hired…

The unaffiliated neurotrauma consultant involved in clearing Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa during the game Sunday against the Buffalo Bills has been fired after it was found he made "several mistakes" in his evaluation, sources told ESPN.

My personal opinion?

He was the sacrificial lamb.

Havent seen anyone say anything about the type of tackle that occurred. There was a massive acceleration as the tackler whipped him to the ground. You could see what was going to happen the second the the tackler made "the turn". That type of tackle on a QB is probably more dangerous than the full weight pile drive. The Elbow hitting first probably saved him. If the tackler had gotten both arms in the wrap up that young man is gone.
