I am looking at buying components to build a new PC (something I haven't done before), and have been looking at a lot of different places. Tiger Direct seems to have a big selection with prices that are usually better than places like newegg.com and outpost.com (although it seems like Tiger Direct relies on a ton of rebates, which is kind of a pain). Anybody ever purchase anything from them or know how good they are?

I've bought stuff from them before in the past. No problems....

I would seriously avoid the rebates, they are a PITA if you are lucky enough to ever get them  One time I sent in the wrong bar code from a box (like I'm supposed to know which is which) and they didn't give me the refund and I was out like $75

Dang, the stuff I was looking at had probably a couple hundred worth of rebates. Its gonna piss me off if they hose me out of that money. Do you think they are better/worse than any other place?

I've usually stuck to newegg, never used tigerdirect. I've always been very happy with newegg though. There are some features on that site that have been pretty helpful.
