Just saw this movie last night for the first time.

Very good Vietnam-era movie. And although there is no scenes in Vietnam itself, I think that made the movie more interesting--it was basically the first half of Full Metal Jacket blown up into a full-length movie. (Although FMJ is a much better movie)

I have hesitated to watch the film in the past because I absolutely loathe the director (Joel Schumaker), but this movie wasn't bad. Colin Farrell (another guy I don't like) also did a very good job. Not bad for his first "big" movie.

Yuck! I hated this movie chap. I thought it was extremely boring for the most part. TO much emphasis put on the training they went through. I would in no way shape or form compare this to Full Metal Jacket but thats just me!

by the way since you liked it, I have seen it on DVD for sale at Walmart in the 5.88 bin VERY CHEAP!

Um exactly! Thats my point. They could have made this better by shortening that and having some real battle scenes. Just a waste of film as far as Im concerned. Just bored me to tears.

Recently watched this. I was pleasantly surprised. I wasn’t expecting much, but it turned out to be a really good gritty type drama. It was interesting to watch from Bozz’s point of view. This was definitely a solid performance from Farrell.
