What a 1st round.. His best ever at the Masters.. Alot of good stories going on here... Couples and Waston firing near the top.. And Mickelson up there too.. Who else is pulling for Tiger?

He's up there, well within striking distance. He'll make the cut.

But 30 players shot under par. Favorable course today and in his interview he said the pin placements were very friendly.

While I can't say I'll ever pull for Tiger again (I was once his biggest fan...), I certainly still marvel at what he does on the course... The shot he hit into the 9th green today was beyond description. Truly, only Tiger could have come out today, after all he's been through, and put together a round like he did. The truly wild thing is that if he could've putted at all today, the score could have been stupid-low!

I didn't like Tiger before the scandals. Not pulling for him now.

Tiger shot a 68.

Great first round, just setting himself up for his comeback win. The 'scandals' don't really bother me. The guy didn't cheat on me so i'll support him like I did before.

Tiger's really getting the love. The headlines are not who's winning, but the fact that Tiger is two shots back!!

Who's winning anyways?

Holy Heck.

Phil Mickelson went Eagle-Eagle-Birdie (missed a 3rd consecutive eagle by inches) on the back nine. I have never seen that.

Tiger is 4 off the lead.

I am not really a golf fan and really only watch the majors, but today was incredible entertainment.

Great win by Phil. I don't think you could get a more emotional moment like we saw with Phil and Amy after Phil's victory. Those two par saves on the
9th and 10th holes were huge and of course his second shot on 13.

Good for Phil.

He used to have the rep of never winning the big one, but now he has 3.

What is also weird is that he golf left-handed and is called Lefty, but he is right-handed for everything else.

He actually has 4 majors (3 Masters and a PGA). This was one of the greatest Masters I have ever seen. Man, if the story-line didn't tug at your heart, nothing ever will...

Just a great performance from Phil, Congrats! Tiger being at 11 under and not playing well Sat & Sun just shows that he is still the best! Take that much time off and your conditioning suffers and you could tell the last 2 days he didn't have it like he did the first two both mentally and physically. He still his some incredible shots just didn't make some putts and made a few amateur like swings that ended up costing him. Phil to his credit was all over the place with his Driver and made some ridiculous shots and saves to keep a perfect final round in tact and deliver when it mattered! Phil is no longer a choker!
