Plot summary: In the week before the World Poker Championships, three card sharks team up to take down the reigning king of the table, Don Everest (Michael Madsen). Nicknamed "The Matador" for his penchant to lure young professional gamblers to their doom, like bulls into the ring, Everest is ruthless and will stop at nothing to stay on the top of the high-stakes game.
