Huh. What an odd destination for him.

I supposes he's going to see spot duty in select formations, particularly around the goalline. Still, NY is going to chew him up and spit him out.

I think when/if Sanchez starts to struggle like Orton did last season for Denver, you're going to hear those Tebow chants loud and clear. Major distraction for the team.

IMO, Mark Sanchez is the most effected by this. Hopefully for him, this lights a fire under him to step his game up and play like the #5 pick he was.

If the Cardinals hadn't frittered away their second round pick I would have liked to have Tebow for a 4th round pick. His running skills alone would make it worthwhile.

No way. He's a wide receiver killer. Fitz would be rendered worthless.

Dude..... Can you imagine Rex Ryan and his potty mouth with Tim Tebow? I would love for Hard Knocks to go back to the Jets this year.

I really don't see New York Jet fans and Tebowmaniacs having much of an intersection. Nobody in NY is going to put up a billboard for this guy.

It's a terrible fit for both team and player.

It won't go as far as billboards, but rest assured, the media would lobby for a change if Sanchez begins to struggle. Even if it is just for shock value.

This has distraction written all over it.

Totally. The Jets just can't, or won't, go all-in with Sanchez. They give him a lucrative extension and then bring in Tebow to look over his shoulder. Ridiculous.

Mike Klis ‏ @MikeKlis Broncos get a 4th and a 6th round pick in exchange for Tebow and a 7th. Broncos now have 7 picks _ 1, 2, 3, 4th (two), 5, 6

Manning and all those picks. WOW. Here we sit in CAP hell, no second round pick, two questionable QB's and Rod Graves. The angel of death must have visited our camp. Add to that my Cubs who may be the worst team in MLB. Who did I p--- off? This could turn out to be the worst sports year of my life. I may have to look into soccer.

So the thought process behind giving Sanchez an extension was to help assert his dominance in the locker room. It supposedly back fired and most of the Jets players rolled their eyes at it. Now they pick up a guy that will make him have even lesser of a roll in the locker room.

That circus cartoon is so close to the truth.

Yeah, Sanchez needs to deliver. You wonder if the TEAM is going to play for him though - particularly HOLMES.

I would'nt give you a stick of chewed gum for Teblow!!! Great guy, terrible QB. He won't survive being ridiculed long in NY by their fans & media...this has disaster written all over it IMO.

Jets interested in Tebow, but Cromartie disagrees

Antonio Cromartie doesn't get paid to make roster decisions for the Jets, but that didn't stop him from sharing his opinion on one very famous piece of trade bait.

"We don't need (Tim) Tebow," Cromartie wrote Tuesday on Twitter. "We sell out every home game let him go to Jacksonville Tampa or Miami. Our wildcat offense can b ran by J. Kerley or Joe McKnight we straight."

Yup. I wonder how many times Tebow Tebowed in hopes of Manning going to us or Tennessee, maybe he wanted out if you believe anything Skip Playlless says. :D

Agreed.

Just wait until he gets an "ear full" of the New York media and fans. He is probably going to breakdown and think God is smiting him.
