Stealing this idea from KTAR 620:

Which Cardinals need to step up their game this week vs. Atlanta?

And please other than the obvious - All of them!

I will state the obvious - DA. He needs to be more consistent if we even have a shot.

But I would also say Dockett needs to step it up to the next level. We need his rush to disrupt plays in the backfield and put the QB on his butt.

DA all day. Will he be DAylight, or DArkside? It all starts with this guy, if his game is on I might actually be able to breath during the game. Step up Anderson, give us the QB I am desperate to root for.

Dockett needs to be way more disruptive.

DA & Williams probably taking up slack with catches Doucet won't be making.Making as much use of the Howler on offense and AW has to have another ball buster game on defense as we have to shut down another talented tightend we normally struggle with in recent years

I'm expecting a special plan at shutting down Turner and forcing Mattie "ice" to win the game.Ware can help us free AW up.Its also time for our highly touted Bama Safety to give a few plays also to cover the falcon recievers. Not worried about Toler,DRC & Rhodes.

DA and Brandon Keith. I'm not worried in the least about Hightower. It would also be nice to see Beanie, though I doubt we will.

I was thinking Fitzgerald; but don't know if that's realistic, because it now seems as though his knee injury is worse than originally thought.

Ditto Wells.

The Cardinals are going to have to scrap and claw all day to have a chance in this one.

The Cards will need someone to provide that x factor. A playmaker to make a play.

Last week it was Breaston and Wilson. Last year in week 2 it was Warner with his accuracy showcase and Rolle? with the blocked kick and return.

X factor candidates this week:
DRC
Williams

Defense.

I think it's the defense that will win all the games this year. Offense will be good -- not great, but good. But the defense will be our bread and butter this year.

And I hope Matt Ryan has nightmares before and after the game.

Dockett was double-teamed the whole game in St. L.----he served his purpose by eating up two rams players each snap, letting someone else go free.

I hope to see Timmy have a real beast of a performance-----carrying the ball high and tight. I also hope to see big Gabe Watson helping to stuff that fire plug sized ball carrier in the hole. Am praying for Beanie to be healthy enough to make a solid contribution. Hope DA gets a couple of decent connects with Fitz.

Hightower and DA on offense. Not to mention our offensive line. I think HT has more to prove than DA. A lot more. I think his fumbling is becoming a serious problem for Whis. I really do. His comments this time weren't as friendly as before, Coach talking about getting labeled and that this year will determine what kind of player he is. That's tough talk.

Our whole team needs to step it up in the fumbling department. We led the league last year in fumbles and fumbles lost, and this year isn't looking any better after one game. They need to put the stop on that, it's ridiculous.

Levi Brown vs. John Abraham
Brandon Keith vs. Kroy Biermann
Deuce Lutui vs. Jonathan Babineux
Greg Toler/DRC vs. Roddy White
Adrian Wilson/Kerry Rhodes/Daryl Washington/Money Mike Adams vs. Tony Gonzalez
The front 7 in general

Key factors are DA and the running game showing up. Shut down Michael Turner and force Matt Ryan to beat us.

Max Komar vs punted balls.

One thing that will improve is the play by play calling, no Ron Pitts this week.

We tend to let TE's eat us alive. So I think Washington and Lenon need to step it up this week in both run defense and coverage.
