LS Shelton to the Rams for Orlando Pace, or to Seattle for Walter Jones. On the surface it's a steal and neither team would make the deal, but both guys are holding out for MONSTER deals, neither team is getting anywhere, and they both need a LT.

Enter Shelton who while not in their league is a very good LT, one year left on his contract, eminently signable, and he's from the Seattle area.

The Cards could also use up more of the caproom to avoid penalty. 2 hitches, they both want big bonuses which we don't like to do, and they're in our division and unlikely to trade with us.

But can you imagine having either of those guys AND Big with the rest of our OL?

How about throwing in Scobey for Shaun Alexander too?

:D couldn't resist.

If possible, I would do your deal in a heartbeat. Fergy wouldn't even have to finish his offer before I said yes.

Well if the Warriors could trade Jamison for 4 scrubs and Nick Van Exel and get no caproom until 2006....

On the surface it's a steal but those teams have reportedly even talked to each other about swapping holdouts because they are making no progress.

If I were them and I really thought it was an impasse, I'd consider Shelton better than a holdout LT.

Again I don't think there's any way it would happen but I think it's an interesting suggestion, eventually if they can't sign them the pressure will build to do something. As good as the Rams look you don't want St. Clair protecting Warner's blindside again this year he got him killed last year.

I was thinking the exact same thing last night. The possibility must have crossed Graves' mind, too--because if great minds think alike, doesn't it stand to reason the feable one's do, too? :D

That's why he's one of my favorite players. :D

C'mon OP, you deserve more money, keep holding out. I'm going to email Owens and tell him he deserves way more money and should hold out too.

Let's take this a step further . . .

LJ, Starks, and our number one next year for Walter Jones and Shawn Springs, OR . . . LJ and Starks for Pace.
