Michigan State won a share of the Big Ten regular season before moving on to win its conference tournament Sunday. It did so while completing a three-game sweep of rival Michigan — its toughest opponent in the conference — and putting together a résumé worthy of consideration of a No. 1 seed. Instead, the NCAA tournament selection committee slated the Spartans with a No. 2 seed.
