Heading into Tontozona:

--Kelly looking like the starter, with Eubanks in 2nd

--Cameron Marshall pulled from any further contact

--DJ Foster amazing people, setting himself up for some serious PT

--DLine looking really thin, hopefully there will be no more injuries

--Coach Graham, talking it up big time, major emphasis on bringing different looks and a lot of pressure on D; Ball security major theme for the offense;

Hopefully, they will have a great camp

My family is headed up tomorrow, spending the weekend in a little cabin and we'll be at Camp T on Sat. morning.

Its going to be my Step Dads first Camp T and he's been going to ASU games since they played as the "Bulldogs" in Goodwin Stadium!

FYI, leave earlier than you would expect. Traffic on 260 is a bear, especially right near Tontozona where they have one whole side of the road torn up.

I'll post some pictures once I find the cord that connects my camera to the computer...no idea where that thing ran off too.

As far as the action on the field:

-- Michael Eubank looks even bigger in person than I'd thought he would. His running is very good, but he seems to have 'happy feet' and wants to run a bit too soon.

-- Mike Bercovici is the obvious odd man out, he was the only QB to throw an INT

-- Taylor Kelly looked like the most well rounded QB we have, and I think we'll all be shocked if he's not named the starter. Though Eubank will still play, it'll probably be a 70/30 or 80/20 kind of split to start the year.

-- DJ Foster is really fast. He could definitely be a big time player, and his goals of Freshman All American aren't unreasonable (as long as he gets enough touches of course)

--It was interesting to see how much the offense passed in the scrimmage. But I guess you figure thats because they needed to evaluate the QBs. With Cam Marshall not playing, and Grice going down w/ turf toe on the first play, it makes sense.

-- The defense looked average at best. Our DBs were blowing coverages quite a bit, and lucky for them the QBs missed it. Irabor I thought looked pretty good though.

As far as the Camp experience itself went, boy oh boy was it surprisingly hot. We were sitting right along the sideline, with no shade and it was pretty muggy and brutal.

It would've been nice for ASU to have Coach Graham talk to the crowd before the game. Nothing fancy, but a simple PA system, or even him talking into a bullhorn and thanking fans for coming would've been nice. It also would've been nice to recognize those who donated to the "Return to Camp T" fund. Whether just having them stand up and take a wave, or coming onto the field or whatever.

ASU did a good job managing the traffic, there were a crazy amount of cars. The provided shuttles were nice. And it was nice that food, ASU merch, etc. was available. A few more port-a-johns would've been helpful, the line was always fairly long.

It also would've been cool if in the future (money allowing of course) if they could bring a small number of the band up. Maybe a trip for Seniors in the band or some such thing. It didn't quite seem like ASU football w/ out hearing the fight song.

If Graham does turn ASU around, I imagine the attendance at Camp T will grow and it would be nice to have more actual bleachers along the field. Sitting on field level, directly behind other people sitting and Coaches/players standing around makes viewing tough. Even if they just had some bleachers the size of like a HS stadium in the Valley, that would be a huge help.

Thanks for the rundown HD.

Sounds like they may have been caught off guard by the 5,000+ that showed up for the scrimmage.

Foster sounds fascinating. I see the photos of the guy and he looks like a little kid among giants, the dude is small! But he has been very impressive and I can't wait to see him action.

Thanks for giving the fans who could not attend a nice report.
