IYO, which top 100 players are carrying the largest BUST signs going into the draft. Why?

All the QB's. Everyone has issues.
Young-size
Stroud-can't handle pressure
Levis-accuracy
Richardson-just not a good QB
And Young has no special physical traits.

Imagine Kyler Murray with better pocket presence, but lacked the arm and foot speed. That's not a player that I think should go top five.

With all his character related flaws, Carter has to have the greatest bust potential. But, he also has the potential to be a huge difference maker. Maybe more than anyone in this draft. And he plays the one position that this defense needs more than any other & a position that Gannon loves to have. So, if we move down closer to 10 & add 4-5 picks in the process, maybe it's worth the risk of drafting Carter? Even if he's a bust, you have the other 4-5 picks to offset him. Would have loved to have sat in on the one on one with Carter.

Tyree Wilson - For reasons covered

Jalen Carter - For reasons covered.
Quentin Johnson - Played bigger on tape than he tested. 6026 and 208 is average size. Average speed and poor 3 cone. Had a poor pro day. Might go behind Mingo. Almost certainly no longer round 1.
Mazi Smith - This is mainly due to where he is being mocked. You don't draft pure space eaters in round 2. Especially ones with no testing.
Keion White - Guys that are nearly 25 and likely have to switch to DT to play in the NFL don't scream success.
Julius Brents - I liked Brents when he was getting late 3rd/Early 4th talk. I backed him here myself. He's getting mocked a whole round higher now and it's too much. Has great size but tape is rough for this spot.
Siaki Ika - See Mazi Smith but more so. Extremely poor testing too.
Andre Carter II - Weaker than tea made by an American. Horrible testing. Sloth like speed. Looks like a packet of noodles given life.
Kayshon Boutte - He's still getting mocked in the top 100 which is why I included him. More likely he's a late day 3 guy though in reality.

You could be right but having Carter on the team really scares me. I can see him every week on the questionable list for injury. I feel that he is just looking for money and will never get in top condition. IMO he is a head case.

Eh he had a 40 inch vertical and crazy broad jump as well. A 4.45 is a very respectable number for a big receiver. DK Metcalf also had a poor three cone and that hasn't mattered a lick.
Mazi Smith - This is mainly due to where he is being mocked. You don't draft pure space eaters in round 2. Especially ones with no testing.
Mazi doesn't need to test. My issue is that he's a poor value early 2nd.
Keion White - Guys that are nearly 25 and likely have to switch to DT to play in the NFL don't scream success.
Agreed.
Julius Brents - I liked Brents when he was getting late 3rd/Early 4th talk. I backed him here myself. He's getting mocked a whole round higher now and it's too much. Has great size but tape is rough for this spot.
I don't like super tall corners. They are usually busts.
Siaki Ika - See Mazi Smith but more so. Extremely poor testing too.
See above for Mazi.
Andre Carter II - Weaker than tea made by an American. Horrible testing. Sloth like speed. Looks like a packet of noodles given life.
He's a project. Having to maintain Army standards to a degree affects West Point prospects.
Kayshon Boutte - He's still getting mocked in the top 100 which is why I included him. More likely he's a late day 3 guy though in reality.
Agree. Would consider him late, but not day two.

Same. Last thing we need with a new regime looking to change the culture is a possible malcontent thrown into the mix. A team like the Eagles are better served taking such a risk.

The Cards just need to get good players, wherever and however they come. I wouldn't take the risk at 3 for him anymore, but 8-10 and getting 2+ first round picks in the process sure.

I would say that if this coaching staff is happy picking Carter we should feel confident that they are sure he has the drive to make it. I don't see them going with guys where they get even the slightest whiff they aren't all in on football. All the guys they signed in FA, even the no name guys, all have reps for being highly competitive.

I certainly trust Gannon & MO to better determine if this guy is a head case or not better than our previous regime. If they feel they can motivate this guy AND they get a huge haul to move down, then I’d be willing to take the risk. But, without the big haul, I would say NO too.

Carter is #1 because of the hype that he is a "once in a decade" interior lineman. His production at Georgia doesnt just match that hype. Its all "potential".

After that I think the biggest busts are

Tyree Wilson
Calijah Klancey
Any of the Wr #1s.....Johnson is the least likely to bust IMO because of his size/speed. All these other WR;s are small and slender guys without exceptional speed.
Richardson if he goes early....He is going to take at least 3 years to be a "starting quality QB" and not just a fantasy option.

On the flip side, I think the LEAST likely busts...or most sure fire prospects in this draft are
Anderson
Skorownski
Bijan Robinson

Baring injury I expect all those guys to be all-pros

Don't want to argue but I do disagree. This new staff doesn't have much experience on drafting. They are going to make mistakes. Everyone does. Some people know how to interview very well. Arians, Keim and Bidwill flew down to LA and had a special meeting with DT Robert Nkemdiche. He snowed them for sure but had all the red flags just like Carter. He was a major bust. Buyer beware on Carter!!

Agreed. I can understand giving the staff the benefit of the doubt if you can identify specific facts of each that support that, but “feel confident” in a bunch of guys, none of whom have held their current position before? Nah.

People stare at my wife making me sun tea here is Wisconsin. They don't know what to make of it, when I am outside having a cigar most times people will stop, stare, and ask me what that is. They always say I didn't know you can make tea in the sun. Oh My...

This one isn't too tough.

Jalen Carter - personal baggage, and may like the life more than the job

Bryan Breese - injury concerns

Quentin Johnson - catching issues, and very rudimentary player who can't win at the next level with just athleticism.

Calijah Kancey - size outlier

Nolan Smith - size outlier, very little production, and health concerns

Paris Johnson - very unrefined player who may struggle physically as well

Some of this is tough because a "bust" in generally associated with a high draft pick. I tried to only highlight guys in the first round. I saw some Tyree Wilson and I disagree. He may not be a highly productive player but he should hang in the league for a while with his physical skill set. Every QB selected in round 1 has bust potential so I omitted all of them.

Aren't the Quentin Johnson concerns similar to DK Metcalf concerns, when he was coming out?

Look at it this way....if WR is a priority, as it was when Metcalf was in the draft, who's this years Andy Isabella that we can get in the 2nd round, instead of Johnson?

Johnston is nothing like DK though.

He's 20lbs lighter. Much slower. And worse in every physical test.

And DK still went back end of round 2.
