IMO this is the move the Cards need to make.

Sign Holt(on the cheap) for 2 years to finish his career with Warner.

Trade Boldin.

Fitz, Holt, Breaston, Early, Urban is good at WR for Warner. Use cap savings & added draft picks to improve the D & running game.

I think it makes too much sense not to do, if Holt comes cheap.

I think hed rather go to the Giants, Vikings or Titans. They all need WRs, I dont even think that the Cards will have interest in him.

I would think he would want to play with Warner again. Stay in the div. and go with a team that pass more than they run.

What was Boldins run after catch this year? He was not the same Boldin he used to be that would break 3 or 4 tackles and take it another 30-40 yards. He gets hurt every year, and has bad knees.

I like the idea of bringing in Holt and moving Q to the slot to dominate but that's my inner-Madden speaking. Holt, in the recent past, has said that he wants to play for the Panthers. Carolina connection sort of thing.

Holt had a higher yards per catch that Boldin. Holt has only missed 2 games his entire career. Boldin has played 11 games each of the last 2 years.

IMO Holt still can give 2 very good years as the #2 next to Fitz. Teams could focus on Holt last year, hurting his numbers.

Nothing wrong with Breaston as the #2 receiver.

I think Holt's still got some good football left, he was just in a very bad situation the last couple of years. He's not built to be going over the middle but he's still a precision route runner that can beat you deep. His knees are a problem but at the right price, some team is going to get a pretty good WR.

Holt, Harrison, Owens...that would be a helluva trio if some team wanted to throw out all the stops. Even at their age, it would be a heckuva WR corps.

Holt wouldve converted on that 4th down drop by Curtis : /
I wouldn't be so sure about that. He's had his own fair share of drops in crucial situations.

Philly does NOT need any more small, fast, WR's they need big, medium speed targets so McNabb will be able to consistently complete passes. Curtis and Jackson are fine. Boldin is seriously what they need or dare I even suggest it it's so absurd...TO?

No, let the Rams deal with a WR which is no longer what he use to be and let the Cardinals figure out how to make Boldin happy in the future before his remaining two years of the contract is up. I would even rather have Breaston much more so than Holt considering Holt's point in his career

If you look at his numbers he is still very good. This was his first down year with 800 yards. All I am saying is he would fit well here along with Fitz & Breaston, and it would allow us to trade Boldin.

I feel ya' Beerz, just don't like the idea with parting with Boldin and seeing an older WR out there to take his place. It would be interesting to see what we could do with the defense with those picks for Boldin in a trade somewhere though... and Holt would not suck, he just would not be close to Boldin's level now

So you guys hate YAC?

Because Boldin gets them and Holt falls down like a girl.

We dont need to spend any money on this position unless it goes towards re-signing Q

I dont want to lose Boldin either. But can you really invest that much money into two WR's? The D and running game will never improve with all the cap invested in the passing game.

Warner throwing to Fitz, Breaston & Early would be good enough. We didnt miss a beat without Boldin. I would rather use the cap money to be more balanced. Holt would be perfect as a 2 or 3. He's very durable, and as professional as they get. Not to mention the history Warner has with him.

Fitz the superstar, Holt the savy vet. Breaston the speedster, and Early a poormans Boldin.

Holt probably still has a couple of decent years left. I doubt the Cards bring him in but it's hard to judge Holt with the train wreck that's been the Rams offense the last 2 years. Heck he may end up in Dallas as their #2.That would seem a better fit than maybe being #3 here.
