American Chloe Dygert smashed her own world record, twice, in the women's Individual Pursuit on her way to winning the world title at the 2020 UCI Track World Championships in Berlin on Saturday. In what was the highlight of Day 5 of racing, Dygert qualified with the fastest time in the three-kilometre Individual Pursuit with a time of 3:17.283, which beat her own world record set in Apeldoorn in 2018 by three seconds. She then went on to win the gold medal with a time of 3:16.937, which broke her world record for the second time in the same day.
