Suns - Erick Dampier

Warriors - Bulls Draft Pick, Zarko Cabarkapa, and Chris Crawford (expiring contract)

Hawks - Milos Vujanic, Howard Eisley, Suns 2nd Round Draft Pick (Magic), Suns 2nd Round Draft Pick (Cavs), and Cash

Suns get Center and keep core. Warriors possibly get high Draft Pick, decent young player with potential, and expiring contract. Hawks 2 PG's, cash, and two 2nd Rounders.

3 to 4 deep:

C - Dampier, Voskuhl, and Lampe
PF - Stoudemire, Lampe, and Vroman
SF - Marion, Johnson, Richardson, and Jacobsen
SG - Johnson, Richardson, Jacobsen, and Barbosa
PG - Nash, Barbosa, and Johnson

I've been a bit busy of late... about Trade Proposals or that Suns aren't interested in Dampier? I don't read as many posts the last few months as well - I once read every single Suns post but not lately...

The Suns have given every indication that they will not under any circumstances pursue Dampier.

I think we all know that the Suns dont want Dampier, but I like the trade. Though I am high on Zarko, I think if we got Dampier in return it would be an excellent trade. Also, does anyone else think Milos' rights are kind of losing value.

I dont really care either way, but Ive always been in the "lets get Dampier" campaign. If we could get him without losing Marion, then I think it is completely worth it. In the end I feel that he will end up with the Knicks, and why would Atlanta want to help US get Dampier when they want him just as badly?

Of course the Suns want Dampier...if the price is right. Don't buy into public postering!

I agree. The Suns don't want Dampier if they have to pay a fortune for him. They do give up a lot in this trade, but they get rid of Howard Eisley in the process.

BTW traditionally in these message boards trades there is one team that gets shafted. In this case is definitely Atlanta. There isn't a chance talks would make this deal. Second-round draft picks have almost no real trade value.

And the Warriors get too much. They shouldn't get anything. It should just be a Phoenix - Atlanta trade since we could just sign Dampier after that deal.

Lets hope for a big Milos game against the US. If you base your expectations for Milos on what that italian guard Vasilli(sp?) did he is going to have a huge day just raining 3s.

That's going to improve his trade value a lot if he has a strong showing against team USA.

i've been pounding this thought for months. but i don't think his rights are LOSING value so much as i think they have negligible value overall.

I think Milos's rights have lost almost all value to us because we signed Nash. This kid could be a great talent, but he'll probably never have a chance on the Suns unless Nash or Barbosa get hurt. I'l like to at least see what he can do before shipping his rights to another team though. I hope the Suns keep him and bring him over next season because I don't know how many years Nash has left before his body just breaks down. In 3 years, a PG rotation of Barbosa and Milos could be one of the best in the league if these guys continue to develop (which I believe they will). Plus, who better for Milos to learn from than Nash.......from what I've heard about Milos it sounds like their games are similar in style.
