Denver Broncos running back Travis Henry is embroiled in a lawsuit to keep the NFL from using the results of a drug test to suspend him, according to court papers filed in Brooklyn federal court.

Glad I picked Selvin Young up off the waiver wire yesterday!!!!!

Crow Count: I was on the Henry bandwagon a few years back for the 3rd rd pick (pre-Edge).

So will the Cards "cave" now and send Denver a first for Travis Henry?

Viva Las Vegas!
Word is that the Broncos were in talks with Miami about trading Henry for LJ Shelton, but somehow Buffalo's GM vetoed the deal.

I tried to pick him up in my league this morning after reading that story but someone beat me to it. I nearly claimed him yesterday after reading Henry was not practicing with an injury, little did I know then it was actually the pot situation.

Henry is one of the all time dumb players everytime he gets his financial situation in order he screws up again.

That is what I am asking.

What I read said Henry is challenging the test because his people weren't there when he took the test and he claims that voids the test. I didn't know there were "people" that you could hire to help you take a urine test or exactly what they do for you "ok pee now Mr. Henry", but that's his case.

Lucky for him it happened the day the Marion Jones admission hits the news so his case will be completely overshadowed by hers.

Thanks to directv super fan...I usually watch every game with their "short cuts". It shows every game in less than 30 minutes...just play, after play, after play...no fluff.

I watched the Denver game and Selvin Young looked awesome...I signed him off of waivers in case of injury...pot smoking is much better!

Boy -- the Travis Henry-o-meter with the Cards has certainly gone up and down--

Henry for LJ Shelton: woohoo, good deal

Henry wants a huge new contract: boooooooo, we dont want him

Henry tears it up his first few games with the Titans: dohhhh! I wish we had him

Henry suspended for strike 2: woohooo, I am glad we dont

Henry puts up big numbers on his return (while Edge struggles): dohhhh! I guess he is pretty good.

Henry fathers 9 kids with 9 women: woohooo, glad to not have that headache on the team

Henry puts up big numbers with Broncos: dohhh! I guess he is pretty good

Henry tests for strike three: woohooo, glad the CArds never got him.

Not that I like to see people screw up but when the story broke about him and the 9 kids I went to the Denver board I used to post on now and then and pointed out the past issues he had in Buffalo and asked if Bronco fans weren't at all concerned that they had dumped Bell for a guy who had that history. Most said they didn't care, if he can run the ball I don't care how many kids he has or how much financial trouble he's been in, he has to stay clean here to get paid and being on such a good team the peer pressure will keep him clean.

Now there are huge threads on that board about what an idiot he is isn't 11 million in guaranteed money enough to keep you off pot?

(AP) Tucson, AZ...Fresh off the news that starting running back and offseason acquisition Travis Henry will be suspended for one year following a positive drug test, Second-String Waterboys owner and GM Ken Rios announced the team has signed reggae dynamo Bob Marley to a two-year contract.

"We are always sad to lose a player of Travis' caliber. We hated losing Ricky (Williams) a couple years ago. Both player provided a mellow and calming influence to our locker room and that is something this organization values.", Rios said in a press conference on Friday.

Marley, 62, was a prolific tailback for the Kingston Wailers of the CFL (Caribbean Football League) back in the 1970s, tallying several 2000-yard seasons. Like Henry, Marley fathered thirteen children with nine different women. "It will be in'resting to see what I have in my tank mon. The Waterboys are a team on the rise yo and I have a family to feed noow."

If Marley is unable to carry the load, Adam Schefter of NFL Network is reporting Rios has calls into the agents for B-Real, Sen Dog and DJ Muggs; each from the rap group Cypress Hill.

Judges also would have accepted Rashaan Salaam, Snoop, and/or Woody Harrelson.
