Since it seems we have edge covered by number of bodies. Do we double up on DT for first two picks. Could see an OT as well.

No, because it doesn't make sense now.

The Cardinals just invested $20M per year in Sweat (27 years old), $9M per year for Browning(26). They used a 2nd round pick on BJ Ojulari (22 years old) and are very high on him. Plus they have Collins(26) and Thomas(26) on the bench and will probably draft another young guy to compete at Edge as well.

Why would the Cardinals use a High draft pick (which they value greatly) to bring in a player who will want a contract upwards of $30M per year and will be 31 years old in December? There is no need to go down that path now. They have a young core at edge now and have bigger needs elsewhere.
Poverty franchise mindset. Basing a decision like this on the Ojularis and Collinses of the world is poor. You put Hendrickson opposite of Sweat, use the draft to stock up on hungry young DTs, and watch the Cards waltz into the playoffs with room to spare. Even Kyler couldn't eff that up. Your defense is instantly elevated rather than, gee, we hope our defense is good enough now.

But hey, no reason to take swings, ever, right?

A stud rookie DT in the middle, Hendrickson at end, sweat next to him at OLB
Overload, not enough linemen on that side to block everyone...with a hopefully emerging Darius on the other side with Browning or Ojulari...

stout, we are going to continue to hear, be patient, great value and we’re smarter than these other teams spending money.
But we signed Brewer and Blount, while we sit and watch the Bears completely revamp their o-line with an all pro guard and the best center in free agency.
I’m sorry but I’m not falling for the mirage of a professional football team anymore. A leopard’s spots never change.

You think the bears will have a better record than the cards next year? I don't see it.

So you think the cards should give Natti whatever they're asking for in trade and then give him whatever contract he wants too? I mean maybe I do but I don't know what both of them are asking for, if you do please share.

The Cards have signed a consensus top 5 free agent for maybe the first time in team history. To imply that they haven't 'taken a swing' is disingenuous.

Sure, I want them to do more, but they did something a lot of people here thought they wouldn't.
