The Tri-City Storm will host its 2025 USHL Futures Camp between Aug. 1 –3, 2025 at Orbit Ice Arena in the Chicago suburb of Palatine, Illinois.
The three-day development and exposure camp is only open to interested players born in 2010, 2011, and 2012.
Camp sign up and registration information is available on Tri-City’s website.
Camp spots fill fast and are available on a “first come, first served” basis. Once camp positions are filled, potential registrants will be locked out from signing up at those positions.
The camp begins with player check-in and arrival at 5:00 Pm CT inside Orbit Ice Arena. Check-in is followed by a group seminar and initial on-ice team practice.
Saturday will feature a position-specific, on-ice practice in the morning, a group seminar, and a parent question-and-answer session. Parents can speak with the Tri-City Storm Hockey Operations Staff and gain valuable knowledge about the Storm program, junior hockey, and the levels of play beyond junior hockey.
Saturday evening, a competitive game will be played between attendees.
Sunday entails another game between attendees and optional player meetings. Camp will conclude by 12:15 Pm CT.
The camp is a tremendous opportunity for 2010, 2011, and 2012-born players who are interested in playing for the Storm or in the USHL, but are not yet ready or eligible to compete in the league. Attendees will gain the experience of an extremely competitive USHL camp, a chance to become familiar with one of the top developmental programs in the country, an opportunity to meet the Storm staff, and ability to show their potential for following season(s).
At least one week in advance of the camp, a complete and official schedule will be distributed to players who have registered for the event. For travel and planning purposes, the event will begin on Friday, Aug. 1 at 5:00 pm CT inside Orbit Ice Arena and conclude by 12:15 pm CT on Sunday, Aug. 3.
Players are responsible for their own travel arrangements and meals, alongside all equipment and skate sharpening needs while attending the Tri-City Storm Futures Camp.
Orbit Ice Arena is twenty minutes from Chicago O‘Hare International Airport (ORD) and fifty minutes from Chicago Midway International Airport (MDW).
The Storm will play host to the Youngstown Phantoms on Friday, with puck drop set for 7:05 Pm CT.
