Great day for football all over the country. Currently my alma mater, Vineland High School is locked in a 6-6 tie against our arch rivals from Millville in one of the oldest rivalries in the country. Check that, my boys just returned a fumble for a TD then our kicker did his best Chandler Catanzaro impression and missed the extra point.

In a few minutes the NFL starts their games. Chase Daniels getting the start for the Bears today. Sould be interesting.

Tomorrow marks my annual search for HS finalists who run the Single Wing.

Last year, I was foresaken by traditional favorite, Menominee (Mich) HS who changed over to the Spread

You mean this is for those who like defense. Still a good game with 4 lead changes. It’s a lot more interesting wondering if the team will counter with points instead of wondering how long it’ll take for the next TD.

This isn’t pointed at you directly because I know you’re just the messenger. I enjoyed Monday nights game, but I couldn’t watch if every game was like that. It’s kind of why I don’t follow college football as much as I used to.

Actually, I loved MNF and was disgusted by it at the same time. I was actually tired of the TD fest by the 4th quarter. The strip sacks and pick 6 was more exciting than most of the TD's scored, except for the last 40 yard TD strike to Everett. I'm hoping the Rams limit scoring by opponents when Talib comes back...

Defense was played on Monday Night. There were how many defensive scores, turnovers and sacks?

Bears got a good one in Nagy. Reid’s coaching tree includes Nagy, Pederson, Harbaugh and Rivera currently HC’s.

21 points scored by the defenses. 84 points scored in the defense. Not a lot of defense minus a couple of plays. Chiefs d gave up 40 and lost, rams d gave up 44 and won. 1001 total yards on offense? 827 total in the air?
