That would have been a fair price. I expect San Antonio to match and I am quite happy we didn't end up with him.

Can the Spurs sign both Manu and Turk? If they do, that could leave us with Stephen Jackson.

Is Dampier falling through the cracks? GS resigned Foyle, but no one's saying anything about Dampier. All we have ever hear was "he would be way too expensive."

They all have the same justified fear as it comes to Dampier. He had only one good year and it was during his contract year. So it looks like he is all about the money (and the fear is he may never produce like he did last year because he has that money).

BTW He supposedly turned down a 6 year/ $40+ million contract from Memphis

I think the reason that we haven't heard anything about Dampier yet is that the Warriors are trying to work out a sign-and-trade. It would be somewhat more difficult to have announce a "handshake" deal for a sign-and-trade, because of the numbers of players and teams involved.

My guess is that we'll know something about Dampier pretty soon after the magic July 14 (or is it 15?) date.
