Maa - I hope more than anything that the Clips don't match Q - in light of everything that has gone in in recent days - if we were to get both Q and Nash - this team could be a VERY tough squad next year - and likey one of THE most exciting in the league - I was shooting for the moon - but after seeing Kobe tease the Clips - which is exactly what he did and Pelinka's client's other behavior - I guess the Suns did know what they were doing - that is usually the case - hell I was throwing things when they drafted Marion instead of Maggete - although Maggete is a stud - it still wasn't a bad move and at 9 they got a great plater - I hope you are all right and that Nash really does imrpove Marion's game that much- the west is WIDE OPEN - and I LOVE that Amare was able to recognize that this team needed leadership veteran wise - it just makes me believe once again that that kid is gonna be, flat out - the BEST power forward in the game - and possibly one OF THOSE TRANSCENDANT player - you know the kind when we're up by three in the Western Conference finals in one or two years and the ball goes in to him with 30 seconds left and three second left on the shot clock and he rises over Duncan for the dunk and the foul bringing AWA to it's freaking feet again as we go to the finals. Bring on the future! Bring on Nash and most importantly BRING ON AMARE!!@!@!!!!!!!!

I agree, the future does look bright. But without a decent big man in the middle, we will accomplish no more than the Dallas Mavericks have.

There aren't exactly a lot of big men out there that are worth a damn.

So if the Suns do get Q, they could offer an incentive laden vet minimum contract to somebody like Joel Pryzbilla(sp?) and see what happens. If he doesn't do the job then the Suns have the MLE next season to lure a big man here. Its a no lose situation (we aren't expected to get a championship this year)

I am excited about the future. I like the way the organization has run these last few weeks. They have been aggressive when necessary, and backed off when necessary.

Sticking to the core and not going crazy over the Tmac thing. Not overspending for the average centers. I believe they are using intelligence over emotion, something I believe some teams are not.

The Q signing puts Clippers in a weaker spot. I read they would like to keep Q and still get Dampier. I don't think Dampier will take what's left if they keep Q to play for the Clippers. Whether they match or not will depend on who else they have their sights on. It is an "either-or" situation for them I believe.

However, if they do match Q, then we have some money to do something with, and I believe that money will go for a center. The money is dwindling out there, and the competitors are getting fewer. Atlanta sits there with all this money but nobody wants to go there. A center would look at our roster and see a lot of talent. I believe if Q is matched, the Suns are going after Divac or Dampier.

So, if we lose Q, we can all get excited about who the next pickup will be.

Q is essential! Besides Amare, Suns have no other proficient one-on-one scorer. JJ may somedays become one but it's far from sure.

comparing us to the mavericks is inaccurate. we have a legitimate post presence whereas they really have none. that's a BIG difference.

Wrong Ouchie! The Mavs have almost 15 feet of center in Shawn Bradley and Pavel Podolskine! :D I think I will stick with Little Jake!

The biggest difference between the Mavs and Suns offensively is that the Mavs are better shooters, but the Suns have Amare. It is hard to win in the playoffs with only jump shooters, even ones as good as the Mavs. There is nothing like being able to take it to the hole and force the opponent to foul.
