The Minnesota Vikings traded for running back Cam Akers last season when the team needed to add some depth to the running back position. The former Florida State player had been with the Vikings before, so sending a late-round pick for a familiar face that works made sense.

This week the Vikings and Kwesi Adofo-Mensah made a trade with the Texans once again, just as they did for Cam Akers. This time, they sent a player to them instead,d and in return, they got the pick they sent to Houston last season.

The report came from Aaron Wilson, who reports out of an NBC affiliate in Houston. He reported that the Vikings' pick compensation was the team requesting back the pick they originally sent away.

The pick was in the sixth round of the 2026 NFL Draft so it does not help their 2025 selections. It does show however that Kwesi Adofo-Mensah doers care about picks despite what the 2025 selections may tell you.
