Does anybody know if and how you can find current episodes of certain TV shows on the web? I am currently in a place with great internet hookup but no cable, and I've been following Rome and Battlestar. Apparently, neither of them have episodes available for download the week after like some shows and sites do. Any help out there?

Try this;

It works in a pinch. I still love bittorrent for its portability.

If you're into Jericho, CBS.com offers full episodes and myfoxwghp.com offers the latest episodes of Prison Break. Those are the only two places I know about.

And NBC has some shows online too - some premieres and most recent episodes of shows like Heros, 30 Rock, Friday Night Lights.

Bittorrent sucks badly. It took me over 24hrs to download what was supposed to be a Rome episode, and it turned out to be the preview. And it was well-nigh impossible to find anything on it, even using that other program. I've been able to find Battlestar (not yesterday's yet), but Rome remains an enigma.

The only way downloading an episode should take 24 hours is if you're on dial-up or if you're on crappy DSL and downloading in 720p quality. You should go to eztvefnet.org for recently aired TV.
All three S2 episodes of Rome:

Here are the recent BSG episodes:

Yeah, the bittorrent is still running incredibly slow, and I'm on high speed. I have allowed file sharing...I wonder if something else with my firewall is slowing it down.

I usually have better luck if I plug my laptop in via Ethernet cable, as opposed to wireless, when dl'ing torrents.

I watched almost every episode of Lost, the Chinese subtitles sucked though.
