Soft-spoken Troy Polamalu is speaking out! I totally agree with him, and I bet that Cardinal's Adrian Wilson does also...

Two-hand touch? To Polamalu, NFL now flag football

Associated Press

PITTSBURGH -- Troy Polamalu wishes someone would put the football back into the National Football League.

Polamalu, unhappy with the increasing number of fines for what he says are nefarious infractions that weren't penalized, is complaining the over-the-top enforcement of contact-related rules is taking away what makes the sport so popular.

A big part of the game is intimidation; take that away and it is not football.

Players have to respect the threat of severe pain and have it influence their decisions and actions to the extent their own courage, strength, and desire allow, if this is going to remain American football.

Otherwise, soccer may be your game...

Well we could have a Ron Powlus rule where the QB has to wear a red reflective jersey and become untouchable. The only way to sack the QB is to pull the flag which is velcroed on each side of his waist. But this would make the tuck rule really hard to rule on.
