Got this from RealGM...

Barry to sign with Spurs

ESPN: "Unrestricted free agent guard Brent Barry will sign a four-year deal with the San Antonio Spurs for between $22 and $24 million, a source told ESPN's David Aldridge."

Barry is a good signing for the Spurs. He will definately benefit from the constant double team Tim Duncan faces. He can probably start at SG or be the first guard off the bench backing up both PG & SG. Wish he could have been a Suns but its all cool cause we have Nash

&

Bucks to offer Etan Thomas MLE

ESPN: "ESPN Insider Chad Ford reported Friday afternoon that the Bucks were seriously considering offering the Wizards' big man a six-year deal for between $37 and $39 million -- roughly the full mid-level exception."

Probably a good replacement since Brian Skinner signed with the Sixers (I think?) He is a tough bruiser and be a good compliments to finesse players like Keith Van Horn and Joe Smith. The question is will Washing match? </B></B></B>

I don't know how well Barry will fit in San Antonio... He plays more too much like a point guard to play a shooting guard...

Somehow that wasn't a problem those years he was playing with Payton.

yeah, and how many championships did they win?

They only got into the playoffs a few times with Barry.

I don't think it was Barry's fault, they just weren't a great team.

I've always thought of him as a combo guard, he can play either relatively well. And most importantly for the Spurs he is an excellent 3pt shooter.

I'm sure they plan on a rotation of Parker, Manu, and Barry since Barry can play with either guy. Barry is bigger than Parker and might be used with Manu in situatons where Parker is getting pushed around like what happened against Payton.

BTW, Barry has just as many championships as T-Mac. None.

There will be times when the Spurs play Parker, Barry, Ginobli, Duncan, and their center at the same time.

I bet those times are quite often. Aren't they the top 5 players on the team?
