Ian Rappaport just said on NFLN that BA has said Mathieu will play FS.
Isnt he too small? I like the idea but isnt he about 180lbs?
He is bigger than Bob Sanders and he was a 2 time All Pro.
how do CBs typically do moving to safety? Is it easy to move from CB to safety? hmm...
Arians said he would be playing free safety but said something to the effect that it was their second FS on the field. Guess they will have two "FS" on the field at times. Also said that this position would allow him to move around and line up on the slot receiver. Don't have the exact quotes but that's what I got from the press conference BA and Keim had.

I think Mathieu can play FS but Sanders weighs over 200 lbs. Honey Badger is not bigger than Bob.
I meant taller not heavier.
When it comes to size, weight is the determining factor. That's why in combat sports there are weight classes, not height classes. Honey Badger is 5'9" 186 lbs. Bob Sanders is 5'8" 206 lbs. Bob Sanders is the bigger man.
thisKeep in mind Tyrann is only 20 years old and due to the suspensionhasn't been in an ncaa strength program since he was 19. I think just naturally over then next year or two simply because of age he'll add 10lbs. Add to that going from no strength program at all other than two years at LSU as a teen. Now you throw him into an NFL program especially one run by John Lott...
