some fellas on nfln were speculating they may try and get a new starter on the first day of the new year then release or trade Taylor after they have a starter secured... but they mentioned the team seems to be prepared to pay him his fat bonus even if they end up trading him later...a poison pill as it were.If they pick up Taylor's option, then yes they still want him for at least another year. Otherwise, it's moot. He's not going to redo his contract again.
I think there biggest issue is they do not want to appear desperate when in fact they kinda are... but I agree with Solar... Taylor is the least of their worries on offense... if they had a top RB and a top WR they would be a serious team even with Taylor.
if they were to add Guice or Michel along with someone like washington with their two picks in the first... they might be surprised what they can do with Tyrod
